JNL Development is a commercial real estate development firm focused on medium and high-density multifamily, mixed-use, and workforce housing across Jackson County. We own or control over 100 acres in the Rogue Valley with a robust development pipeline aligned with regional housing needs.
"Our mission is to deliver exceptional multifamily communities that provide unparalleled livability, affordability, and sustainability for residents through superior planning, design and development."
JNL Development is the commercial affiliate of KDA Homes, a leading Southern Oregon green home builder. We bring a developer's discipline to every project — rigorous financial underwriting, deep knowledge of Oregon land use law, and a genuine commitment to the communities we build in.
We specialize in planned unit development, complex infill sites, climate-friendly areas, and workforce housing challenges that other developers pass on. Our track record across Medford, Ashland, Talent, and the rest of Jackson County reflects a long-term view on value creation — not just for investors, but for the neighborhoods we help shape.
Every JNL project is designed with solar access, high-performance building envelopes, and energy efficiency at the forefront — consistent with KDA Homes' track record of delivering net-zero energy homes across the Rogue Valley.
We plan for people first — walkable streets, connected open space, and neo-traditional neighborhood structure that builds community character and long-term asset value simultaneously.
Workforce and market-rate apartments in Oregon's high-cost markets require creative capital structures, land use expertise, and disciplined underwriting. We do the hard deals — and we deliver.
Our partnerships with Adroit Construction, Powell Engineering, and Baker Barrios Architects bring regional market intelligence and proven execution to every project — from site planning through final delivery.
We engage early with city planners, housing commissions, and community stakeholders. Our projects advance Housing Production Strategy goals, CFEC compliance, and OHNA production targets — making approvals faster and outcomes stronger.
We take a long-term view — structuring deals that reward patient capital, create genuine community benefit, and build lasting net asset value for our investors and partners.
JNL's current pipeline represents over 415 units of multifamily housing in Ashland, Talent and Medford, OR strategically designed to meet the market's current lifestyle expectations.
